Born in Back Of The Yards and grew up in Clearing/Garfield Ridge neighborhood. Being the only Mexican family on the block, I learned how to break down walls and barriers by playing baseball, basketball, and soccer in local leagues. After graduating from De La Salle Institute, I went on to work in the Financial Industry. Looking to give back to the community, I partnered up with Rise and Organize/Increase the Peace. This helped me give back and become heavily involved in youth organizing/gang interventions; eventually leading me to become certified in Motivational Speaking.
"When I'm out with the youth in different communities, I always tell them: Life is a roller coaster that doesn't care if you're too tall to ride. That's why it's important to read, watch, and listen to anything positive. Keeping your mindset right will take you a long way in life. Networking is key. Never be afraid to start a conversation. At the end of the day, don’t talk about it -- be about it."
